EDLA

Enterprise Devices Licensing Agreement: Google’s official licence for non-mobile devices. An EDLA-certified display ships with the Play Store and Google Workspace apps preinstalled and certified, with security updates and support for remote management systems.

VESA

The standard that defines the hole spacing on the back of a display (e.g. 400×400, 600×400 mm). If mount and display share the VESA standard they are compatible, whatever the brand.

OPS

Open Pluggable Specification: the slot that houses a PC inside the display, powered by the display itself. No external cables, no extra bracket, one power button.

NPU

Neural Processing Unit: the processing unit dedicated to artificial intelligence. It runs AI features (transcription, recognition, subtitles) on the device, without sending data to a server.

Zero Gap Bonding

Technology that removes the air gap between glass and panel. The stroke appears exactly under the pen tip, with no parallax, and reflections are reduced.

Simultaneous touch points

The number of contact points recognised at the same time. 20 for two people writing, 40 or 50 for group work across the whole surface.

Nit (cd/m²)

The unit of brightness. The higher the figure, the more readable the display stays in bright rooms or direct daylight.

Anti-glare

A glass surface treatment that diffuses reflected light. Needed in classrooms with windows behind the students or with intense ceiling lighting.

MDM

Mobile Device Management: the platform IT uses to configure, update and lock a fleet of devices remotely. It needs a certified device to work reliably.

USB-C with Power Delivery

One cable for video, touch, data and laptop power. Less cabling in the room and less time lost starting a meeting.

Digital signage

Visual communication on screen, managed remotely: price lists, timetables, notices, promotions. It differs from an interactive display because it is made to be watched, not touched.

Content CMS

The software that schedules content across one or many signage screens: what to show, where, and in which time slot.
